Buller Hospital Project Update 2
Week Ending 04.04.25
Our team are making great progress on the Buller Hospital project in Westport despite the wet weather conditions. They continue to methodically work their way through the buildings tackling the asbestos removal work in sections to facilitate demolition of the buildings.
Our team has completed the asbestos removal work in the garage and the ceiling spaces of the X-ray building and kitchen, all 3 areas have achieved clearance.
The tunnel networks underneath the buildings have been the main focus for our team of 8 over the past 2 weeks. Our crew split the tunnels into sections, working on areas in a sequential order to prevent asbestos contamination spreading further through the tunnel network. Everything within the tunnel networks must be removed in their entirety, including all cabling and services pipes.
This system is working seamlessly with clearance of the tunnels under the X-ray building, kitchen, admin and Foote ward scheduled for next week.
To ensure progress is maintained our team have been prepping the Dunsford Ward for the Class A removal works in the roof space and service tunnels beneath the building.
Our strategic process and collective team commitment is building exceptional momentum, keep up the great work team!
