North Brother Island Project Update 1

Week Ending 11.04.25

We have some interesting jobs come through the door, but this one is definitely high on the list. Scope Group are fortunate enough to be working with the Department of Conservation on a deconstruction project on North Brother Island. The light house keepers house was built in 1877 and has come to the end of its life cycle. The island has a vast historical background and is also a protected wildlife sanctuary with a variety of native lizards, including tuatara, calling the island home.

The first shift landed on the island on Saturday and with some awesome planning and co-ordination, made short work of getting our gear onto the island and getting established.

Massive thanks to the team from The Department of Conservation, Johnsons Barge Service, and Marlborough Helicopters for getting our team and our gear to the island. We look forward to working with you throughout this project.
