Tuakana Hostel Project Update 5
Week Ending 15.11.24
It was another week of successes for our North Island based team working on the Tuakana Hostel project. Our team’s high-quality workmanship ensured a successful visual clearance of L2, East & West Wings, following the completion of the vast environmental clean.
We also conducted a massive loadout via our 3-stage bag lock towards the end of the removal, filling up over 30 Hazmat Bags from L2.
The crew from Rocket Scaffolding have erected the scaffolding around the west wing to allow our team to commence the roof and soffit removals on multiple levels.
Looking ahead to this week, we are digging into the basement, preparing for a smoke test following the stage 4 clearance of level 2. Our team will split into two crews, with one focussing on the environmental clean in the basement and the other focussing on the external Class B works.
