Tuakana Hostel Project Update 6
Week Ending 22.11.24
It’s heating up in Napier, with the Scope Team battling the elements on the Tuakana Hostel project. Our team have been exposed to the winds and the scorching New Zealand sun whilst tackling the Class B soffit and bitumen roof removal.
Whilst completing the exterior work our vigilant team discovered further potential asbestos and have taken samples for testing.
Inside the west wing, our team have completed the set up the basement area ready for smoke testing by the independent assessor. On completion we will continue operating two teams to tackle the inside and outside works.
We took the opportunity to get involved in Asbestos Awareness Week by dedicating a toolbox talk to the topic to recognise individual’s contribution and experience in the industry.
In true Scope style, the teams’ spirits remain high as they continue to look after each other to get the job done safely.
