PICTON FERRY TERMINAL

DEMOLITION
AT PICTON FERRY TERMINAL

Project Type
Demolition & Asbestos Removal

Location
Picton

Completion Date
April 2024

It was a privilege to lead the demolition of the 1960’s Picton’s Interislander ferry terminal.

The ferry terminal had been sitting unused for almost a year, as a temporary building had been constructed to accommodate passenger and luggage services. The time had come to demolish the historic building and clear the site to allow for future port operations.

This unique project came with its fair share of challenges, each of which were meticulously analysed by our team of experts. We developed a comprehensive deconstruction methodology with strict controls to manage all health, safety and environmental risks. Special attention was paid to the surrounding environment of the terminal building, in particular members of the public, the marina and wildlife.

Our highly skilled team enjoyed working on this unique project delivering all project demands with great success.
